A strategic study on cashew lot-grouping, for the Cotton and Cashew Council.
The challenge
In 2024, the Cotton and Cashew Council commissioned a study on cashew batching, carried out as a team with Away4Africa. Grouping cashew output into consistent lots can improve quality and marketing. The Cotton and Cashew Council wanted to study the conditions before a pilot.
How the assignment unfolded
Batching means grouping cashew output into consistent lots, which can make quality control and marketing easier. The Cotton and Cashew Council wanted to study this option before testing it. We conducted the strategic study as a team with Away4Africa, from June to November 2024. The Council received a study report, recommendations and an implementation plan for a batching pilot.
